The Loaves and Fishes Mission Group!

Wilbraham United Church prepares and serves at Christ Church Cathedral for Loaves and Fishes the third Thursday of each month. It is a wonderful experience to help people in this way. You can't know how fulfilling it is until you do it!! As the weather becomes colder, there are more and more people who use this opportunity to enjoy a hot meal. We all can really make a difference. What a wonderful opportunity to see the faces of the people who need our help!

We put the casseroles together and cut the cakes on the third Wednesday of each month at the church kitchen at 5:00 p.m. Call to help!

We will meet at the church at 11:00 a.m. on the day of service to go to Springfield together. Call if you can help. If you don't get around to calling stop in at either time. The more the merrier! We love to have people come and help so please either call and let us know or just stop by to help.

The following ingredients are always accepted as well as cash donations (make check payable to WUC and earmark Loaves & Fishes): Chicken Meat; cooked or raw; on or off the bone #10 can Mushroom Pieces 40 ounce bags mixed vegetables half sheet cakes [you can get pans from Betsy] .

There are lots of ways to help with this mission project. Keep your eye on sales at the store or if you're at BJ's or Costco you can pick up any of these items.
